PRIMARY FIVE CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION LEARNERS GUIDE

Primary Five Christian Religious Education guides middle-primary learners through a meaningful journey of spiritual, moral, and personal growth under the central theme, "God’s Presence and Love in the World." Aligned with the National Curriculum Development Centre (NCDC) syllabus, this course builds character and empathy by relating biblical stories to pupils' everyday lives. Through reflective study, learners discover their unique worth, understand Christian teachings on faith and service, and build the moral foundation needed to make responsible choices in their homes, schools, and communities.

What Learners Will Study Throughout the course, learners will explore essential thematic units designed to deepen their faith and understanding of Christian values:

• God's Creation and Self-Awareness: Recognizing human beings as God’s unique creation, appreciating personal talents, understanding bodily changes, and practicing self-control and stewardship over the environment.
• God’s Relationship with His People: Learning how God communicated with key biblical figures (such as Abraham, Moses, and David), understanding covenants, and recognizing how God protects and guides His people.
• The Life and Ministry of Jesus Christ: Exploring Jesus' childhood, His baptism, teachings, parables, miracles, and how His life demonstrates God’s unconditional love and forgiveness.
• The Role of the Holy Spirit: Understanding the gift of the Holy Spirit given to believers at Pentecost, spiritual gifts, fruits of the Spirit, and how the Spirit empowers Christians to live courageously and stand against temptation.
• Christian Living and Community Service: Living out faith through worship, prayer, honesty, respect, supporting those in need, and fostering peaceful coexistence with family members, classmates, and neighbors.
