How do I install the Android app?
The Android app isn't on the Play Store — it installs directly from the file you just downloaded, the same way most non-Play apps do in Uganda. Your phone will show a couple of security prompts along the way; that's expected, not a sign anything is wrong.
- Tap the downloaded file (usually in your Downloads folder or notification shade).
- If you see "For your security, your phone is not allowed to install unknown apps from this source" — tap Settings, turn on "Allow from this source", then go back and tap the file again.
- If Play Protect warns the app is unrecognized, tap "Install anyway" — this is normal for any app that doesn't come from the Play Store, not specific to this one.
- Tap Install, then Open once it finishes.
- The first time it opens, it may ask to access photos/media/files — this lets the app remember your school's setup even if it's ever reinstalled. Tap Allow.
The file is large (it includes real course content for full offline use) — download over Wi-Fi where possible.
