CHRISTIAN RELIGIOUS EDUCATION SENIOR ONE LEARNERS’ GUIDE

Welcome to Christian Religious Education – Senior One. This subject is part of Uganda’s new competency-based curriculum. It’s designed to do more than just teach you facts about the Bible and Christian life. The goal is to help you: Gain knowledge and understanding of Christian beliefs, values, and practices; develop skills like critical thinking, communication, and problem-solving Build character – exploring purpose, morality, and how faith guides daily lifeHow you’ll learn: Through doing: Activities in class will let you explore ideas, reflect on your own experiences, and apply what you learn to real-life situations.

Through others: You’ll work in groups and pairs to share ideas, solve problems, and learn together. Through research: You’ll use the Bible, books, your community, and, where possible, the internet to find answers for yourself. By the end of Senior One, you won’t just know about Christianity – you’ll be equipped to think for yourself, live out Christian values, and make a positive impact in your school and community.
