PHYSICS SENIOR SIX LEARNER’S GUIDE

Welcome to Senior Six Physics, the final stage of your Advanced Level Physics journey. This course builds upon the knowledge and practical skills acquired in Senior Five, enabling you to develop a deeper understanding of the physical principles that govern the universe and their application in solving complex scientific and technological problems.

At this level, you will engage with more advanced concepts in mechanics, electricity, magnetism, waves, optics, thermal physics, modern physics, and electronics. Through practical investigations, mathematical analysis, scientific inquiry, and critical evaluation of evidence, you will strengthen your ability to think logically, solve problems systematically, and communicate scientific ideas with confidence.

The Competency-Based Curriculum places emphasis on developing competencies that prepare learners for higher education, research, innovation, and the world of work. Throughout this course, you will conduct experiments, analyse data, interpret graphical relationships, model physical phenomena, and apply Physics to real-life situations in engineering, medicine, agriculture, energy, communication, transportation, environmental conservation, and industrial development.

Senior Six Physics also nurtures creativity, collaboration, ethical responsibility, and scientific curiosity. You will be encouraged to investigate authentic challenges affecting society, evaluate possible solutions using scientific principles, and appreciate the role of Physics in driving sustainable development and improving the quality of life.
