Kiswahili is one of the most widely spoken languages in East Africa and an important language for communication, education, trade, and regional cooperation. It is used in many countries, including Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In Senior Two, learners continue to develop their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Kiswahili. The subject encourages learners to communicate confidently, appreciate different cultures, work effectively with others, and apply language skills in real-life situations. It also prepares learners to become active citizens who can communicate effectively within Uganda and across the East African region.
